Mysterious Ears on an Encyclia cordigera var roseum Orchid
Makaha, Hawaii
Can you identify these "ears" growing on our orchid in Hawaii?
They appeared after the plant had been gently misted with water.
They look like Mickey Mouse ears and are about 1/16th of an inch high.
The color variations in the photos are due to different lighting conditions.
The ears are bright yellow, the base is milky white.
